What I learn in module 5 part II

1- Core Technologies and Digital Entrepreneurship

Emerging ICT Trends (Gartner & McKinsey Reports)

Top trends for 2024-2025: AI governance, sustainable tech, immersive experiences (AR/VR), generative AI, and decentralized systems (blockchain, Web3).

Sectors ripe for innovation: Smart cities, digital health, legal tech, Industry 4.0, and fintech.

Key Technologies

AI & Machine Learning: Evolution from rule-based systems to deep learning; applications in diagnostics, autonomous systems, and recommendations.

Big Data: 5Vs (Volume, Velocity, Variety, Veracity, Value); sources include IoT, social media, and sensors.

Blockchain: Transparency, security, and use cases in supply chains, healthcare, and finance.

Metaverse & VR/AR: Defined by interoperability, decentralization, and spatial computing; potential economic impact ($1.5T by 2030).

Digital Twins: Virtual models for real-time optimization in urban planning, construction, and manufacturing.

Generative AI & LLMs

Tools like ChatGPT and Stable Diffusion transform content creation, design, and automation.

Digital Business Models

Types of Models

Freemium (Spotify, Dropbox): Free base service with premium upgrades.

Subscription (Netflix, Office 365): Recurring revenue via continuous value.

Two-Sided Marketplaces (Airbnb, Uber): Connect providers and users; scalability challenges.

Ad-Supported/Hidden Revenue (Google, Meta): Monetizing user data via targeted ads.

Lean Startup & MVP

Minimum Viable Product (MVP): Rapid testing with prototypes (e.g., landing pages, videos) to validate ideas before full-scale development.

Iterative Development: Build-Measure-Learn cycles to pivot or persevere based on feedback.

Prototyping Tools

Figma, Just in mind: Collaborative tools for designing and testing digital products.

2-Web, Social Media, and Digital Presence

Web Development

Accessibility (WCAG): Inclusive design for diverse users (e.g., visually impaired).

SEO Strategies: Meta tags, keyword optimization, and mobile-first design.

Social Media Strategy

User Engagement: Primary reasons for use include staying connected, news, and entertainment.

Platform Dominance: WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok lead in user activity.

Domain & Hosting

Choosing domains (short, memorable) and servers (shared vs. dedicated) for scalability.

3-Project Management

Agile & Scrum

Sprints: 2-4 week cycles for iterative development.

Roles: Product Owner (prioritizes backlog), ScrumMaster (removes blockers), and cross-functional teams.

Artifacts: Product backlog, burndown charts, and daily stand-ups ("What did you do? What’s next?").

Kanban

Visual workflow management (To Do → Done) using tools like Trello.
